Our internet connection is unstable or not connected. The modem’s settings are zeroes then intermittently gets assigned PPPoE and the internet works again. Then about 30 seconds later it gets zeroed again. Repeat. This results in the internet dropping off and staying off. Then coming back on, then dropping off again to the point that it’s unusable.

Same. Ours comes on, then goes off after some seconds. That’s both internet connection via browser, tv, phone, etc. and the Internet connection icon on the modem admin page. No outages reported. Though the notified me of an outage during the week then notified me of it being resolved a day after.
