When will TPG start supporting IPv6? Looks like Aussie Broadband make it available to all residential ustomers already. How far away id it with TPG? Thanks, Whipray

Thanks @johnp for contacting me about this and apologies for wasting your time. After running some more tests with different devices and wired vs wireless etc, I suspect that the problem is just with my laptop as other devices don't experience the same woeful performance. More investigation required on my part. Thanks again.

I transitioned to Superfast NBN around March last year and have had consistently good service, but the last few days have been woeful. I just checked on Speedtest.net and my concerns were confirmed: Compare that to my previous test on 27th May: What is going on? I'm getting consistently bad results. Yes, my connection has been restarted (a few times). The speed I am seeing should be fine for browsing, but even something as simple as posting message to Slack are having issues, and loading the TPG support pages reset several times before it finally loaded so the issues are more than just speed. Good point @MarkMarkMark I personally don't use Google DNS either, opting instead for a handful of DNS servers from the OpenNIC Project (https://www.opennic.org/ ) You are right though - using Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 is preferable to Google's 8.8.8.8 Cheers, Whipray

After being on NBN12 for the last 18 months I decided to increase to NBN100 so that I can backup some data to a cloud service. On 2019-03-11 I received the confirmation email that the change was in effect (Subject: "NBN Plan Change Completed (3739745)"). Excited, I logged in and confirmed that my plan was now "NBN Cable Superfast", so I ran a speed test (https://www.speedtest.net/result/8103090241): Awesome. I was briefly very satisfied. However, after a few days I noticed that my large uploads were taking much longer than I expected. So, I ran a number of speed tests at different times of the day between 2019-03-15 and 2019-03-20 and the results have been consistently showing a connection limited to 25/5. The first result (taken 2019-03-11 16:00:00) clearly shows that my connection and equipment are capable of acheiving 100/40, but something has gone terribly wrong since then. Nothing has changed on my side since the plan change was put in effect. What is wrong with my connection? When can I expect to get back the 100/40 that I am paying for? Thanks, whipray

I'm not a TPG rep. If TPG (and the other ISPs) are blocking/censoring the sites that you need for support and refuse to reinstate access, I would suggest that you consider looking into VPN services to bypass these restrictions. NordVPN is an example. Note that this is a paid service. Alternatively, you could try changing the DNS settings on your computer/router to something other than the TPG DNS servers. You could, for example, use Google's free public DNS IP addresses: primary: 8.8.8.8 secondary: 8.8.4.4 All the best.
