Archer VR1600v - what a piece of rubbish! Brand new out of the box replacement for a faulty HG659 The HG659 ran well I admit until it started to intermittently fail but the Archer is crap. Constant lockups requiring power cycle to reset since new. Restricted my network to only have static IP devices and no WiFI but still locks up. In the bin now with the Huawei. I also recieved a new Archer VR1600v. Unfortunatley this modem freezes up and is completely unresponsive until power cycling to restore service activity. (All activity lights remain on but the unit is unresponsive.)   The only reason I use this piece of junk was for the VOIP which I barely use. I already have another modem as a WiFi access point booster and do not use the wifi on the router itself.   As such I have decided to reuse my years old reliable Linksys router and ditch these cheap faulty units and pay NBN to install fibre to the premises.   Very disapointing TPG. you should at least give customers the option of upgrading to a decent device.   ...
