No internet green light

I have pulled in my modem for first time, it has been 12 hours and still no green internet light. Please help as I need work from home and my boss will not be happy with I get no work done

Hello
No green light it’s all plugged in and I’ve waited 60mins.
I’ve switched it off & pressed reset.
Very important internet is connected immediately.
Please help
