5g home broadband and Apple TV -slow

Hi I have recently switched to 5g home broadband which seems fine for other devices but my Apple TV box seems really laggy - it connects to the new modem but streaming is very slow with poor quality and frequent pauses. It is an Apple TV HD 4th gen and was working fine with my old nbn wireless router. Is there a compatibility issue?

Is your Apple TV box connected via wired to the 5G modem?

No it’s wireless - but signal is strong and other devices are fine - I had to personal hot spot my Apple box through my phone to the wifi and that worked fine - seems some issue between the Apple TV box and the modem……

Are you able to connect the Apple TV box via wired to the modem? Let's see if it will make a difference.

I’ll give it a try - did an online restart of the modem which *might* have fixed it…
