Archer AC1200 can’t connect to internet

Received Archer AC1200 router from TPG. All seems ok from the lights on the router. The Internet light is on, but if I try to load an internet page, it times out without any page. I have reset and rebooted many times with no success. Have done the suggested netsh commands and restarted but still nothing.
What now?
Thanks

Hi @,

Sounds like there might be a setting wrong with your desktop Network card. I recommend if you haven't already done so, to restart your desktop and modem and retest.

I have also requested for one of our Helpdesk staff to give you a callback to continue the troubleshooting, and they will give you a callback later on today.

Regards,

Karl

Hi
Have just successfully downloaded web page. A complete shutdown of desktop and router, a long wait before repowering all seemed to fix things. Thanks for help.

Thank you, Karl, for your patience with me.  Good TPG support as usual.

Hi @bcasey1940

Thanks for your query!

Let me have a look for you, and I will get back to you ASAP.

There is also a new ''TPG Mobile APP'' to help you with various trouble shooting and account issues, via a mobile phone app.

Hi @bcasey1940

I have checked your NBN-FTTP 50/20 service and we can see the NBN-NTD ok.

Sounds like you need to configure your modem with your username/password to get the service working.

You may check the setup guide that we've created for NBN-FTTP here.

Followed the setup instructions from the links you sent me and all went perfectly. I was connected to the internet but when I tried to load a website it just keeps timing out again and again.

Tried to load web page with both Firefox and Chrome. Site can’t be reached.

Your service is showing online for the last 40mins. Have you connected into your modem/router Wi-Fi?

The default Wi-Fi password will be printed on a sticker on the back or underneath the modem

Karl

Hi @,

Here is a guide that will help you connect to your Wi-Fi. If that is the issue you are having.

Can’t see a wifi icon at bottom right even if I press the up arrow. There is a Network 2 icon. Is that it?
