Hi, did you manage to get your Huawei HG659 into bridge mode? Would love to know how if you did!!!!
Actually I did find the answer https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2572047
Hi,
I also like to bridge HG659 and want to use 3rd party router and HG659 as modem only. I am using FTTB and only option I get for edit is PPPOe user creds.
Not sure it is to do the firmware (I requested for firmware upate via other theread). Can you help to how can I bridge HG659 and use third party router?
This is what worked for me. From that router homepage, if you click on Start Wizard, and then select the last option "Connect with another modem", it will enable bridge mode. You then navigate to Internet > Layer2Bridging and then Edit either br0 or br1. From the WAN interface list, select INTERNET_R_PTM1 and from the LAN interface list selects the LAN port that you want to connect your router to.
