Can't send emails "550 5.7.1 ... Relaying denied. IP name possibly forged []"

Level 2

For at least the last 9 days, my Mother In Law's MUA (email client - Outlook 365) has been unable to send emails.

1) Immediate response email from "System Administrator", Subject "Undeliverable: ..."

2) Body of email says "Server error: 550 5.7.1 ... Relaying denied. IP name possibly forged []"

- A search in your online community forums has unhelpful responses to this error, like "Are you sending to multiple recipients" or "Have you tried turning the modem off and waiting 5 minutes", or "You need to enable Authentication in the Outgoing Mail settings" without a screen shot, or saying what authentication settings to use.

- The email is going to one user. Turning the modem on and off is not appropriate, because it is just shifting the blame (to the NBN, or the shared infrastructure between them and iiNet/TPG).

- Most of the TPG support pages for email client setup are old, have missing images, or are describing versions of the Outlook client that don't exist any more.

Can someone please;

A) Provide a clear setup screen shot for modern email clients

B) Explain why something thinks, an iiNet server, possibly has a forged name

C) Change the scripts that are sending this response message, so that it says "TPG System Administrator", to prevent users searching the Internet for random Microsoft fixes to a problem that is ISP specific.

D) Also change the scripts so that these response emails have a pointer to an appropriate fix. Either to a TPG support phone number, or a link to an accurate, maintained, email client setup page.
