Can't send emails

I recently did the apple update and since then I have been unable to send emails on my iphone.

 

Unable to Send Email

A copy has been placed in your outbox.   No password provided.

 

Please do to Mail Account Settings and enter a password.

 

when I do this my password is there -   is there somewhere else that it should be that I am missing

Hi @sallmac are you running iOS 12? What type of email account are you using, gmail, hotmail etc or a POP3 TPG account?

Thanks for the info @sallmac check your settings by going to settings>passwords and accounts> then select the tpg account and scroll to outgoing mail server, under SMTP it should be 'mail.tpg.com.au' primary server ON, Settings should be as below pic. If you still have no luck, try deleting the account on your iPhone and set it up from scratch, let us know how you go.
