Cannot Send Email Rejected by the Server/Banned from using SMTP

Guys

this is a recurring problem for me.

i can only think that it is an issue for me as the phone I use belongs to an American company and routes everything through the US.

i need a solution for this as it really is painful to have to login to TPG mail when I want to forward or reply or just send an email.

Thanks

Glenn

Hi @fostered . Is your phone set for global roaming? If you call an Australian mobile, does your phone show as US number?

Or, does your phone run a VPN client that uses a server in US?

Browse to www.whatismyip.com to check the ip address of your phone.

Hi
Thanks for looking at this problem.
My phone is not on global roaming nor has it been since November ‘19 and I am on a public VPN when not at work (Telstra).
The difference would be when I use the phone at work when it is on the company wireless and then I would think it would go through a lot of very secure networks via Houston.
Would this cause TPG to automatically flag this as an issue?
Thanks
Glenn

@fostered . The TPG mail server detects if the user's ip address is from overseas so that would be the problem when at work.

When not at work (on Telstra VPN), does your mail client work ok then?

Does whatismyip.com show the Telstra VPN as being in Australia?
