Connection Speed and Packetloss

I have been experiencing slow internet speeds last night since there has been planned maintenance in my area as of yesterday. I rang support last night which enabled me to get a better sync speed after cable modem reset but have since been experiencing bad packetloss which in turn causes the maintained speed to drop. Could some please sort this out please.
