Hi. I come here in the vain hopes that someone can fix the issue, as our TPG reseller (iiNet) have been useless.

We have had a total of 16 technicians come to our home from both iiNet and NBNCo since the first installation of the NBN service in February this year. We have had continual dropouts of the external internet service (visible in the modem logs). The following has been performed;

  • Disconnected the existing phone line.
  • Maintenance of the external pit. At least two technicians said they performed works in here.
  • Continual diagnostics where the integrity of the home's internal wiring was questioned. Three technicians signed off on the wiring (coming back to this later).
  • Replaced our provided modem twice (we're on TP-LINK modem 3.)
  • Replaced existing ethernet lines between NTD, modem and router.
  • The latest technicians ran another line test and advised we install new CAT6 from the external connection into the wall. This has been done at some expense.

We are still experiencing regular, unpredictable dropouts of the EWAN link visible in the modem. I've attached a log that shows the issue. These dropouts occur regardless of internet activity or time of day. When these drops occur, the third and fourth on the NTD box go out. Then the third light starts flashing, until the connection is made again, when it goes solid and the forth light begins flashing.

I'm about at my wits end here, and I know our service is a TPG service ultimately.

I realized that is with iiNET. Although TPG and iiNet are under one umbrella, we still operate independently of each other. As such, we won't be able to pull up your account and check on your connection. We recommend to contact iiNET support
