For many years, I have enjoyed access to the IRC network via AustNet servers, but have experienced problems occasionally where the connection to any of the three available servers is blocked. A week ago, all access stopped and has not returned. Using a different Internet service provider (office), normal access was attained. Using TPG, I have confirmed access to other IRC networks (oz.org and DalNet) to ensure no problems with PC set up etc. I have confirmed no ports are blocked by successful connection to other IRC networks which all use the same ports. I have installed the client IRC app on a "sandbox" PC to confirm that no other issues, but also without success. I have temporarily disabled the modem firewall, and checked for any IP filtering, also to no avail. It appears that these three particular IP addresses are blocked at the TPG end. What could be causing this problem, what can be done to solve it?
