Intermittent Issues accessing sites - appears to be DNS related

Hi team,

For about 3 months now I have had intermittent issues with sites not resolving properly. In particular Microsoft O365 services and office.com. I use both Windows and Mac devices and the issue is consistent across both.

I perform an nslookup to office.com and this also fails.

The moment I switch to my Telstra mobile hotspot all of the issues go away.

This seems to happen in the evenings more than weekdays.

My router: Huawei HG659

IPv4 primary DNS server:
203.12.160.35
IPv4 secondary DNS server:
203.12.160.36

Current PlanNBN FTTN Broadband XL Bundle Boost

Hi @jimmywhite . This worked for me just now. I can force nslookup to use different DNS (see below).

With HG659, are you able to specify different DNS? If not, specify different DNS in Windows, Mac, tablets and phones.

C:\Users>nslookup office.com dns1.tpg.com.au
Server: dns1.tpgi.com.au
Address: 203.12.160.35

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: office.com
Addresses: 2620:1ec:a92::156
13.107.6.156

C:\Users>nslookup office.com 8.8.8.8
Server: dns.google
Address: 8.8.8.8

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: office.com
Addresses: 2620:1ec:a92::156
13.107.6.156

C:\Users>ping -n 1 office.com
