Internet constantly dropping out

Hi,

 

My nbn connection is unstable and often connects and disconnects multiple times throughout the day.

 

At times, there is no connection for several minutes at a time.

 

Can this please be investigated?

I was able to locate your account using your community details. Initial test results shows your service is connected for 6h 44m. I'd like to know on which device(s) you experience the dropouts?

 

If it is on your wireless device(s) we did an article on how to Improve your wireless connection.

Thanks for the response.

It is my router that drops the internet connection - the internet connection light goes out and all my WiFi devices connected then follow.

I have not been able to identify what is causing the issue - it happens randomly - sometimes only a couple of times a day and sometimes (example last night) four times in an hour.

There is no pattern on the router lights - sometimes all lights go out, sometimes the first light is flashing with no other lights visible, sometimes the first light is on but no others are illuminated?

A reboot of the router generally sees a connection re-established straight away.

Though we can see that the connection is stable for more than 8 hours now, our previous tests show that it has been unstable and we would like to identify what is causing this.
