Internet keeps dropping out

Hi technical support,
Since the installation we have been experiencing dropout constantly, the service is unreliable. When we have the dropouts we only lose the internet light from the router. Lights on the NBN box are fine. I have even chatted with an engineer, but nobody give me a clear explanation what is the matter.
We really need the Internet service to work from home. Please help me.
