Anyone had luck with receiving a "loyalty" discount on monthly plan costs? I am moving to a brand new house next month, and I'm wondering if TPG would consider still charging me $59.99 / month and bumping me up to NBN50 Plan, rather than the NBN12 I'm currently on. There are some good deals out there elsewhere, but I don't really want to go through the hastle of changing providers... do tele co's even offer loyalty discounts these days?

note to everyone; no discounts were offered to loyal customers, other than the gimmick of $50 instead of $99.50 for the "set-up" fee or waiving it if you commit to 12 months (instead of the normal 18 months).. other than that, nothing can be done on the monthly pricing...

I have to say that when I changed over from ADSL2 to NBN is was all very painless and the price was not over the top. I have been a TPG customer for nearly 30 years, from back in the dial up days, and the setup fees were waived for me to go NBN. TPG has its hands tied a little I think as NBN Co charges a fee to TPG and costs are passed on. It's just the way it is.

Can't say thats surprising. Customer loyalty really doens't mean anything to businesses these days.
