I've just gone through the same thing here in Kiama NSW. I got between 6 - 28 Mbps, in all the tests I did. Luckily I signed up for the special "First month free" deal, So after going through the talking to techies, sales etc, I cancelled the 5G service. Luckily I hadn't closed down my Mate NBN before this happened.
