NBN Dropouts & slow download - Gold Coast, Benowa 4217

Ok, looks like we are back to the same situation as before.  If one was cynical one would think that once the customer is satisfied then then speed is throttled back.  Is the NBN 'pipe' so congested that ISP's are resorting to this?   Maybe ISP's get a kick back from NBN to reduce speeds?

- if it was a highway the road width would vary from bicycle lane to multi-lanes :_)

> aren't we lucky that the NBN is not major infrastructure like a highway !?!  Robot Mad [as the LNP has pushed]

> tpg speed tests same yesterday and this morning so situation still valid with 1/4 download speeds, which is 'good' otherwise the NBN tech won't to work with.

>> lol don't know why I keep taking screenshots and uploading to the forum as there is no date and time stamp on the  tpg.speedtestcustom.com  browser app

+ 3rd party tech, ran all the tests, line all good, can see 'that I am not getting what I paid for' with download speed

So back to me to proove that TPG are throttling the download at the server end?

Maybe the modem (Arris CM8200) needs replacing to see if that is at fault?

Hi @garythomann13

Recent update on the ticket indicated that the assigned Engineer has been in touch with you and is now waiting for the NBN Tech's report regarding today's visit.

Furthermore, TPG is a reseller of NBNco therefore we have to operate within the constraints of the NBN network. We do not throttle speeds specially if you are under an unlimited plan.

The assigned Engineer will be in touch again for further updates to discuss the connection issue.

Regards,

Ahra_G
