Hi,

I have bought a Netgear Nighthawk X6 AC3200 R8000 router to replace the standard TPG Archer router.

I cannot for the life of me get it to connect to the internet.

I have

 - power cycled the modem

 - reset the Netgear router to Factory settings (I have not reset the modem to Factory settings yet)

 - I can connect to the Nighthawk via wifi to open up the router settings

 - I have entered my TPG internet username and password (PPPoE)

 - all the lights on the router light up correctly, except for the internet light which remains Amber (not connected)

I have NBN HFC

Any ideas?

Ok, I've solved it.

I had to set the VLAN to 2

Now the Nighthawk works

Hi;

      I had a similar problem with a Nighthawk modem, I called TPG and was informed it was not compatible with the network. Please contact tech support via this link  https://www.tpg.com.au/support/contact  with your modem details and they will be able to inform you about any compatibility issues.
