Need a 5ghz client bridge device

I have a pair of security cameras on the end of my house where running Ethernet is not feasible. My 2.4ghz spectrum is already trashed. I really don’t want to run anything else that’s not on 5ghz.

What is a reliable and ideally affordable device that might allow me to turn off the 2.4 radio and use the 5ghz radio to bridge over to one of my ubiquity APs?

I would consider a dd-wrt or openWrt device but only if it’s a very solid build of the firmware. I had one of the linksys wireless AC3200 models with openWrt for a while and it just wasn’t quite right. My network got so much better when it went away and the ubiquity devices went in.

So I guess ideally factory support for a client bridge mode would be preferred.

Thanks!

Hi @Scott104 . Can you add another Ubiquiti mesh point or just an extender to reach the cameras?
