Off-peak hours

My account was recently throttled when I exceeded my quota (bloody grandkids!). I noticed that the throttling kicked in at 0800 rather than 0830 (as specified in my plan). The times must be local times rather than EST because otherwise those in WA would be really screaming.

Anyone know why this might have happened?

Anyone know how to test for whether you're in peak or offpeak when they both run at the same speed? (Apart from downloading lots of data I mean.)

Peak and off-peak periods are according to local time.

Peak and off-peak periods for certain NBN and ADSL2+ Home Bundle broadband plans that have peak and off-peak monthly usage quotas can be found by clicking on the Critical Information Summary link below their respective plan descriptions.

Peak and off-peak periods for ADSL2+ stand-alone, Broadband Off-Net (both ADSL2+ Off-Net and ADSL Off-Net), and Naked ADSL2+ plans are located in the Monthly Usage Quota and Speed Shaping section of their respective plan pages:

https://www.tpg.com.au/products_services/adsl2-standalone

https://www.tpg.com.au/products_services/broadband-offnet

https://www.tpg.com.au/products_services/naked-adsl

Hi Gabby,

Throttling should kick in at 8:30 if that's what is stated on your plan. Let me have a quick look on your account to check this. Send me a PM, need to have your TPG account.
