Once you turn the parnetal control on in Archer vr1600, the internet speed drastically decrease by 30%, this is confirmed today by TPG technician who visited my home.
At the beginning I though there is something wrong in my connection that is not downloading in full speed as in my package, but after the technician hard reset the router and testing to turn on this feature which is crucial to me, the speed decrease by at least 30%.
It seeems this option keeps the router's processor busy even not during the effective time, mybe it has to do with the firmware script keep checking the effective time or the whitelist
As this feature is very important to me, I would buy my own router which won't get affected by turning on such an option.
This is just to let you know guys and FYI.
