I recently switched to NBN with TPG from ADSL2 with Telstra. The wifi range from the supplied tp-link modem is so bad as to be unusable in most of the house. It is only suitable right next to the modem. The modem we had from Telstra worked much better. Can I use the Telstra modem with TPG? What would I need to do?
Hi @kylenaomi ,
We're sad to know that you're having issue with the connection of your Wireles network. We did an article that you may find helpful, this will guide you on how to improve your wireless network at home. Feel free to visit the link below.
If you wish to a 3rd party modem/router as an extender router to maximize it's wireless network. You may simply change its connection mode to DHCP. Here is an existing thread about this, https://community.tpg.com.au/t5/Modems-and-Devices/Are-the-Tpg-routers-DHCP-compatible/m-p/25448#M25....
