Slow internet

Hi there, 

 

Our internet has not been fast since we moved in to our apartment in Surry Hills in March and went from NBN to Broadband but recently it has gotten much worse. For the last week, it's struggled to even open gmail on a laptop. 

 

If anyone streams anything on Netflix, no one else can access the internet at all. Is this the expected speed of the internet? In our previous house (albeit it was NBN), 3 of us were able to stream in the same apartment at the same time and we are paying exactly the same amount now as we were then. 

 

What can we do to increase the internet speed or is the only solution to move providers? 

 

We have an ADSL2+ modem. The speed this morning was 2.71 Mbps download and 0.43 Mbps upload but at least a page would load..
