I have had TPG NBN connection for some time now using a TP Link VR1600. This has been running well for the last five years or so, but it is seems to be running hot now and turning the case yellow from heat. I am worried it is close to failing or worse burning if I ignore this. The NBN connection shows no sign of slowing or drop out and the connection is stable and I have no issue at all with my network connection, either NBN or WiFi. Should I be looking at getting a new modem before it fails or bursts into flames: What are my options here? A new modem or move providers were a new modem would be free via churning.
