Upgraded to NBN Ultrafast 800Mbps, but speeds are still 100Mbps

Hi Team,

I've had fibre installed at the premesis by NBNCo and my new Ultrafast NBN service is now active according to the SMS and Emails I've received, however after some testing and multiple reboots of all my network equipment, I'm still only getting 100Mbps down, even though my upload speeds are reaching the advertised 40Mbps +.

I'm running Cat 5e and Cat 6 cables, so nothing capped at 100Mbps.

My router is the TP-Link Archer VR1600.  Could you please advise?

Cheers

Ray

Hello,

I am having a very similar issue to raynimrod87. I have recently upgraded to the same NBN Ultrafast 800Mbps plan but my download speed has remained at 8Mbps, not 800Mbps. The upload speed has increased to 40Mbps+ though.

I also have the same TP-Link Archer VR1600 router, and I've run a LAN speed test and get close to Gigabit speeds locally so it does not seem to be a local bottleneck.

Could you please advise me as well?

Thanks,
Steve
