Hi there,

Does anyone know if there will be a firmware update for HUAWEI HG659 router to fix KRACK WPA security flaw?

Most other vendors have already released updates to their hardware for this flaw.

I am also looking for the same. And will TPG do auto update or customer need to do it?

Thanks for this info.

Hopefully TPG issues the required modem firmware patch once Huawei deploys it.

Hi @a_hodson,

At this stage we believe only modems in bridge mode are vulnerable which is not our default configuration.

We have reached out to our suppliers to understand if our devices require an update and how soon these updates will be available. We will update you guys in the community once we know more.

No firmware update needed, as Huawei HG659 is not affected.
