hi , we've received the activation sms and connected the modem and ncd as per instructions but only received 3 lights. the lan light doesn't turn on. we had it on for more than 6 hours. we had to turn it off as my parents need to use their land line

Getting 3x blue lights on NCD is the hard part, and sounds good!!!
The LAN light is just connecting the modem to the NCD.
Maybe re-set it up and leave it for an extended time for the config process to complete.

when you say reset , what do you mean? unplugging the whole thing or pushing the reset button on the ncd?

just to let you know we were able to connect and is now just waiting to be ported. thanks for your advise.
I an embarrassed to say but for other seniors who are not as tech savy, there was a black button in the moden that said RESET and at the bottom in tiny letters ON/OFF. I did not turn it on. Only when you said reset did I push it which turned on the modem on. I dont remember seeing it in any of the instructions.
