slow upload speed

Hi,

I've just connected NBN50 on FTTC. The download speed is good (around 50Mbps) but the upload speed is around 1.6Mbps. I think it's too slow because I got around 10Mbps upload speed when I use iiNet NBN50 plan until a few days ago.

In my router settings, the Bandwidth Control is enabled and is set as default to 19800(Kbps).

Please find attached image (speed test and router setting page).

Hi Shane,

I ran the speed test this morning again under the same test condition.

The upload speed is improved (around 18Mbps). It's reasonable.

Test Result:

I don't know why, but I'll keep watching what happens next.

Thank you for your support.

Kind Regards,

Hi @tallzeebaa ,

Thanks for raising this to us, I'd like to confirm if the speed test was performed using a mobile/smart phone if so please try to run a speed test using desktop/laptop connected via LAN/Ethernet for comparative test.

What troubleshooting have you done so far?

Regards,

Hi Shane,

Thank you for your support.

I ran the first speed test with my laptop connected via WiFi-5G.

Then I untick the "Bandwidth Control enable box" and ran it again, but the same result.

Now I ran the second speed test with the same laptop connected via ethernet cable.

The "Bandwidth Control enable box" is unticked.
