Disable Call Waiting

Second request to have Call Waiting disabled.

On 9 July, I asked for Call Waiting to be disabled on my home phone.
PeterW published a link for Call Diversion !!!!

I tried to disable it on the Control Panel but there is nowhere to change it.
Call Waiting should not be auto activated.

Please disable the Call Waiting function on the phone line.

Also I would like to know why a phonecall will drop out suddenly.
I understand this happens if the internet drops out.
But when the internet is still working, why does the home home drop out?
It happens with frustrating regularity.

If you are experiencing phone dropouts, please check if there's any changes in the light status of the modem. You may also try another phone cable or handset if available to take out the possibility of a faulty device.

 

If the issue persists, please let us know for us to arrange a call from our Tech team for further investigation.

Looking forward to Call Waiting gone for good.

As for phone dropouts - when on a phonecall, the phone green light blinks.
It has always been like this since NBN so I presumed it was normal.
When the phone drop outs, all 7 green lights are still present on the modem
but I get the engaged signal and have to hang up.
This is on a cordless phone and there is only 1 handset.

I will try a corded phone to see if that makes a difference.
