Incoming ring tone to TPG NBN home phone

When people ring our home phone (uniden fp1200) connected to tp-link modem , 50% of the time they get the normal brrr-brr sound ,other times they get an unusual one brrrrrrrrrrrrr then a gap then another brrrrrrrrrrrrr. Any clues why this is happening?

Thanks for raising this to us. What troubleshooting have you done so far?

 

Please do the following troubleshooting below.

 

  • Try different handset
  • Reboot modem/router
  • Re-seat handset

This is the second handset I have used with the same problem over the last 12 months . Call waiting is set on and when the home phone is engaged you can get to two different ring tones but you get call waiting notification OK . Interesting “divert if busy” is set but does not work , but “divert if no reply” does work to the same mobile no. The modem has been rebooted numerous times but still the same .
