Misdirected international calls

Level 2
Cannot make calls to Hong Kong. We keep getting some other foreign country and a message in an unknown language or possibly someone answering at the other end. It's been reported days ago and still going on without a fix. Come on TPG what's happening?

For customers experiencing any issues with their ADSL/NBN service, we recommend the best thing to do first is check if there's an outage on the ADSL/NBN network.

If there are no known outages in your area, customers can proceed with the troubleshooting:

  • Power cycle modem/router
  • Check the dialed numbers and make sure it is correct
  • Try to use another handset (if available)
  • Try to call the international number using a different provider (Mobile, other phone provider)

In your case, our Engineering team already raised this with our international carrier and an assigned home phone Engineer will be in touch with you via SMS or phone call once an update becomes available.
