Get online support
Hello,
I have just flicked over from TPG ADSL2 Home Bundle to TPG NBN Home bundle using FTTC technology a couple of hours ago.
The Internet is working and my plan includes the same landline as in ADSL2.
All phones/devices are removed from phone socket.
I have dial tone and my 3 handset Panasonic cordless phone with its base is plugged into Phone 1 socket in the back of the TPG modem/router.
The Phone 1 light in the modem is not lid up. When I called out, I got a continuous beep after the number is dialed. When I called the landline number, it keeps ringing but the home phone does not ring.
When I checked my account progress, it is still marked "Your installation is currently in progress."
Since I have not be warned of what to expect when moving across to NBN, the questions:
1) Is this behaviour normal indicating the whole installation is not yet complete? Just have to wait?
2) What kind of telephone one should avoid or watch out when using with FTTC?
Thanks.

Hello please ignore my questions. Apparently that is a normal process in connecting to FTTC.
The phone connection is only complete when TPG completes the whole process.
