Voip disconnected - PPPoE will not restart

Hi!

We had to reset our Huawei 659 router last night after the NBN cut out. Now the Voip light is not coming on, our phone has a "status" of "idle" and when you go into Internet Settings it says it is disconnected. We have tried multiple times to press the Restart button for the PPPoE and it says "submitting" then goes back to the same screen and continues to say "disconnected".

The phone has an engaged signal.....so no one can call us and we can't call.

There are no outages showing and your website says there are no issues with Voip at all.....

Help please!

Hi @naltonrd,

Welcome to the community!

If you reset the modem/router you have to manually configure the modem/router again to work the internet and the VoIP service.

We did an article that you may find helpful, this will guide you on how to setup modem/router. New Connection Setup Help

The VoIP usually will work after you configure the modem/router, but in the event that the issue with home phone still persist, you may check this article for troubleshooting.
