Phone not working with new FTTP connection

My FTTP connection is active and the internet is working, but the phone is not. I have connected to the UNI-V Port 1 as per the email from TPG stating my service is active; I hear a message that the phone number is not “valid” when I call the phone and the light on the NBN box isn’t on.
