I have 2 phone wall connections one is located in my bedroom the other in the lounge room I have also connected to the nbn box (I get a dial tone through the box but I don't have a number as yet for that line.
I do have my old phone number for the wall connections
Do I get a seperate phone number for the nbn connection
Here is the guide for your phone number wall connection by doing this guide you can successfully use you both number easily.
if you upgraded your service to NBN the old connection (ADSL2+) will have 18 months before it phase out. AFAIK TPG-NBN VoIP service will only work if your handset is connected directly to their supplied modem/router, unless you have NBN-FTTP which has UNI-V ports that will give you an option to activate the UNI-V 2 to a different ISP.
