2 phone sockets on Hauwei router

TPG NBN over HFC. Supplied Huawei router has 2 phone sockets.  Does that mean you can make/receive 2 calls at same time?

Welcome to TPG Community!

For the NBN HFC modem that we provide, only 1 phone port will work. Which means that only 1 home phone can be connected to make and receive calls.

I seem to remember testing both ports and to notice dial tone on both of them.

I assumed that this is like having two phone sockets on a Telstra telephone line - thus only one call at a time.
