I have the above modem and the 2.4 GHz WiFi will not work unless I manually select a channel. In Auto I can't see my networks. The modem was replaced by TPG but the new one is exactly the same!
Is there some way to fix this or upgrade our firmware??

I certainly found it strange that the same sault is present on both modems. I have tried three different devices and none can see the 2.4GHz WiFi networks with the channel set to "auto". If I manually select a channel (I tried 1 and 5) then all devices can see the 2.4 GHz WiFi network. I mean it's a work-around but really it should work with auto channel.
It certainly seemed odd that both equipment presented same issue although we're not eliminating the possibility that it could happen, @bjselby.
I have informed the assigned Tech specialist regarding the issue.
