Archer VR1600v v2 WIFI Router - Support mesh?

Hi,

Does this unit support mesh?  my (80+) year old parents are having issues with their iPads and alike not being able to connect to the WIFI.

THey cannot move the unit any closer (without cables running everywhere) so thought I'd buy a mesh extender... if supported.

any advice appreciated

I don't see any possible issues on this as other customers use wireless extenders as well, it would depend upon what details would your wireless extender require in order for it to be up and running?

can you get extenders that broadcast on the same SID?

I do not see that as being an issue, though I change my wireless extender name so I can identify the hardware my wireless device is connected to, it helps me troubleshoot for any issues, but that is just me =)
