Hi @Rob13

Here is a guide from our sister group of companies that may help.

Hi Dave,

I have changed the mode back on the DM200 back to modem + router and the connection is fine with no issues (i.e valid IP address over PPPoE).

However, to use the ASUS router the DM200 needs to be in modem only mode.  This is when I'm running into the log issue with 'unable to complete PPPoE discovery'.

I've checked my ethernet connection again - it's connected from the LAN on the DM200 back to the WAN port on the ASUS RT-AX88U.

Any suggestions?

Hi @Rob13

To use another router as a wifi access point etc, maybe it needs to be slaved into the LAN port of the ASUS instead of the WAN.

That is something to try.

We recommend using TPG supplied modems for ease of use, but hope it works out for you.

Thanks

After further trialling and deliberation, finally found the issue. The VLAN passthrough needs to be UNCHECKED.

After I did this and went back to bridge mode, the ASUS log now shows a valid IP address following the PAP authentication succeeded log entry.

Finally, it's fixed...
