Cisco ASA firewall

Hi everyone,

Is anyone using a Cisco ASA 5505 device on their NBN service?

I have an NBN HFC provided by TPG. I can connect using my old ADSL modem/router, but can't make a connection using a Cisco ASA 5505 device. It is failing to establish the PPPoE session with the error "padi timer expired".

Is this a problem with the way TPG/NBN handles the PPPoE process? If so, can it be fixed?  Or is there anything I can change on my Cisco device?  Or should I just give up on it?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
