How to I set up a D-Link AC1200 ? Is there settings or configurations I need to change to make it work ?

Hi @Forsaken13 . What type of NBN connection do you have?
What is the actual model number of the router? AC1200 is a generic wifi speed indicator.

It’s a DSL-3785 and was using the TP LINK VR1600v and now want to use the Dlink

@Forsaken13 . Does the VR1600 connect directly to a telephone wall socket or connect to an NBN box?

@Forsaken13 . What type of NBN box is it?

 

Connect ethernet cable from NBN box to LAN/WAN port on DLink. Do factory reset.

Login to router.

Select Settings, Internet.

WAN access type is VDSL.

Click Advanced.

Enable Virtual circuit, set to VLAN ID=2.

Scroll down.

Connection is PPPoE.

Enter username + @tpg.com.au and password.

Connection type is PPPoE LLC.

NAT enable is Enabled.

Save.

User guide is not clear on some of this,
