Can you check you are using the correct cables, and do a factory reset on your modem.
Using an ethernet cable from the modem WAN port to the NTD should get a solid WAN light on the modem.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I have connected the modem to the NTD directly and there is WAN light now as well as internet (Thanks so much for this mate). Can you give me some idea/ solution why it is not working in my room (NTD is in the garadge)? all my LAN devices and my LAN phone are inside the house. so got to make that port work. just any ideas?
