Firmware update?

I have a problem with my Archer VR1600v router/modem in that the "blacklist" feature is not working. I have a device which talks via both WiFi and Ethernet cable with separate MAC addresses for each. I set the WiFi MAC address in the Advanced -> Security -> Access Control blacklist section of the router/modem and Save it, but it allows the connection anyway.

I thinking a firmware update for the router/modem may fix the problem?

I forgot to mention my current firmware version.

Hi @tallcuss . I tried MAC blacklisting on my VR1600. It does actually work because my device is blocked from accessing the internet, can't even get to the router admin login page, even though it does allow the wifi connection to the router. Another BUG with TPG's firmware. The connection should not be allowed.

On the same admin page, you can block a connected device by ticking the select box and clicking on the Block icon. The device appears in the table of Blacklist devices. You can unblock by clicking the Trash icon.
