How can I Port Forward a Public IP address on my TL-MR3420 Tp-Link router?

When i try to port forward my public IP address in my router settings, the router gives me an error. The error says "Error code: 26106 The IP address is not in the same subnet with LAN IP address." Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi @NeedHelpWithPF . If the router's LAN ip address is 192.168.1.1, you must forward to a local ip address of 192.168.1.x. The device should have a fixed local ip address so it can always be found by forwarding rule.

This router has 3G/4G backup. Forwarding may not work if this is your connection.

Can you attach a picture of the forwarding rule getting the error?
