How to set up your TP-Link VR1600v modem

Do all standard telephones work with this modem, or does the phone have to meet certain specifications?

Hi @codexservices, 

You can still use a basic handset as the phone port on the modem still uses a copper port. The only time you will need to setup the homephone is when you need to use a VoIP-capable handset.
