Huawei HG659 crashing

Recently my Huawei HG659 modem is crashing randomly. Web browsers across all devices display a notifcation saying you must log in to the network which goes to the router page. It tests the internet connection, shows it as up, and tries to redirect but returns back to the router page. It then gets stuck in a redirect loop in chrome/firefox/edge. Within DSL Information the connection has actually dropped, which does not return unless a reboot occurrs. Unplugging and replugging in the RJ11 cable causes the modem to crash (UI stops working and all network function ceases) and requires a reboot.

Is this a software or hardware issue and can I get assistance with fixing this.

We're sad to know that you're having issues with the modem/router's performance. Please try to perform a factory reset on the modem/router and let us know how it will go.
