Hi, I'm currently getting multiple short dropouts, possibly related to "cannot verify server" messages on wi-fi connected devices. Otherwise getting around 100 Mbps on FTTB most of the time.

My questions are:

1. How does the firmware get updated? - currentlyV100R001C216B013

2. Does it need to be upgraded to a new modem? - 6 yrs old now

thanks

Hi @Mark51

The modem/router is running with the latest firmware available.

Have you tried to factory reset the modem/router?

What troubleshooting have you tried so far?

Are you only getting the said error via WiFi connection? Do you have a Wired device that looses the connection as well?

It’s happening on wired connections too. The photos attached are a sample but when you go to the “Details” it always relates to Huawei.
I’ve restarted a few times but not factory reset. Do passwords and all devices need to be reconnected manually with a factory reset?

Hi @Mark51

You may need to consider factory resetting the modem/router.

The settings you've changed will go back to default, so you may need to reconnect your devices to the WiFi network manually.

You may configure the WiFi or other settings once the service is back.

Yeah, nah thanks BasilDV but I’ll put up with the inconvenience of dropouts for a while longer rather than go through a reset.
I would rather go through all those password resets if I get a new modem.
cheers
