Is there a modem with greater range than Huwei HG659?

Hi, I currently use a TPG supplied HG659.  The signal is rather weak at the outer edges of our house where my children's bedrooms are (house size = 125 sqm). 

Is there a good modem that has a greater range than my current one?  

(The current physical location of the router is not centralised, but close to my desk at the other end of the house and I prefer not to move it away from me).  Thanks

Since wireless signals travel through the air, they are susceptible to different types of interference than standard wired networks. Interference weakens wireless signals and therefore is an important consideration when working with wireless networking. As you might be aware, the biggest factors which reduce Wi-Fi performance are the effect distance and internal walls have on signal strength.
